It is with deep regrets that we must announce the School of Criticism and Theory's 2020 summer session is postponed until 2021.
This was not a decision made lightly, and we are aware of the disappointment it will cause. Yet in this somewhat unprecedented moment, we’ve had to carefully assess our plans with a view to first-and-foremost protect the health and wellbeing of our participants and respective communities across the globe, particularly those most vulnerable amongst us. We remain focused on creating extraordinary programming that brings together a diverse group of scholars from around the world, and we are looking forward to a time when we’re able to gather in Ithaca once again.
Please note that if you received an acceptance letter for the 2020 session, your acceptance into the 2021 SCT session is guaranteed and you will not be required to re-submit your materials in the next application cycle. We are working diligently on transferring as much of the expected program for this summer to next summer, and we will keep you updated regularly with the 2021 schedule. We are also in the process of planning a series of online offerings for the summer of 2020, the details of which will be announced soon. These virtual offerings will be tuition-free and available to all accepted participants.
